Medical / Health Volunteer Opportunities 

1. Support Group Leader 

Become a support group leader at Alzheimer's Greater Los Angeles.  You will be able to take care for those that have Alzheimer's disease. Not only that, but you will be able to help them on many daily responsibilities. You will also have the chance to grow a strong relationship, and learn more about what your patient is going through. They are trained by a group leader, and they are completely confidential. You must have skills such as family therapy, and elder care. To add on, there are various locations around LA.  

2. Office assistant internship 

You will be working at an office, for about 6 months. They will help you gain experience in Resume development, Interviewing Preparation, and letter of recommendation. You must have skills such as administrative entry, and customer service. To add on, you must be 21 years-old, and have training. They are located in 700 N Brand Suite 1400, Glendale, California. 

3. Health and Wellness Fair 

Volunteer at the health and wellness fair, where you will be able to learn so much more about health. You will be provided information on the heart, and things such as how to control blood pressure. You will also learn about stroke signs and symptoms, and many more things. You must be at least 18 years-old to volunteer, and your skills must involve your community outreach. They are located in 3900 Via Oro Ave. Long Beach, California.  

In order to apply, you must do things such as have a letter of recommendation, or a resume. It is really important that you have everything in order to apply and be able to volunteer. A letter of recommendation is important because someone gets to recommend you, and they get to write about how you are.
