The Neurosurgeon 

Duties and responsibilities: The Neurosurgeon helps with treatment, prevention, and diagnosis of any disorders that include the brain. To add on, they also help with the spinal cord, and cerebrovascular system. To add on, they also perform surgery if there is fluid in the brain. It is their responsibility that they make sure that they write down their patient's medical history, and that they also perform diagnosis on them. Another thing that they do is read medical journals, to make new discoveries that they did not know about. There are times when they must remove tumors in the brain, relieve chronic pains, and treat wounds. Another thing that they do is treat diseases in the spinal cord. To add on, they use surgery to relieve hydrocephalus. One thing that they need to have is the ability to work in groups, and they must have good communication skills. In addition, they also perform CT scans and PET scans. As you can see, neurosurgeons are very important because if you have any health problems that include the brain, they can help out. They can help you become healthier people.  

Salary: $421,032 - $707,635. (estimated). 

Education: Must need a Medical Degree. It is required to have a Neurosurgery residency. To add on, it takes about 6-7 years to complete this training. They must also have a state certificate.  

Demand or need for this profession: Growing 14% 2014-2024.

Reflection: Do you think you would like to be one? Why? Why not? 
I would not like to be one. The reason why is because I would not be comfortable, with all the blood that I would be seeing. This is something that I would not enjoy to do, because the blood would get me scared.
