"I hate poverty. Poverty is more of a choice than anything else, and I can change that (poverty). It depends upon how hard I want to work, and I decided that I would change that."

This quote has a lot of meaning, because it is saying that if you want something, to go for it. For example, he is saying in the quote that he can change it, and that that depends on how hard you work. This is very important because it is telling you to always work hard for what you want. You should never quit or give up on anything. This quote is showing us how he hated poverty, so he did something to change it. What he did was work hard to change that. One example can be you wanting something that just came out. In order to have that, you must work for it. It is not just going to appear when you wake up in the morning. You have to make sure that you work for it. When you do work for it, then you will receive it. Another example can be your lifestyle. For example, if you eat unhealthy, and you want to change that, then you are going to have to work on it, and start eating healthier little by little. If you do nothing to change that, then you will see no changes. At the end, you will see an outcome which will be being healthier and happier, because you were able to make a change. You have to be dedicated, to get what you want, and make changes. This is why I think that this is a very important quote. It will help you become a better person in conclusion.
