"If it is not right, do not do it; if it is not true, do not say it."
-Marcus Aurelius

What this quote means to me is to basically always do the right thing. For example, when it says that if it is not right, do not do it, it is saying to not do anything that is bad. You never know if someone can end up getting hurt. This is why it is always important to make sure that you do the right thing. For example, if someone tells you to drink alcohol with them, you should not because that is the wrong thing to do. It is not right to do it, so you shouldn't. To add on, this shows how this quote is correct, because what it says is true. Even if other people are pressuring you to do something that you know is incorrect, don't do it. You should not pay attention to them because they are just peer pressuring you to do things that are not correct. On the other hand, when it says that if it is not true, to not say it, i think it means that is you know is is false, do not go around making rumors that can hurt people. If you say something that you know is false, and not true, then that can cause many problems. It will bring you many chaos, and that is not the correct thing to do, which brings us to the first part of the quote. I think that the quote is saying to not say rumors, or things that is false, because that is not right, and it can hurt people. In conclusion, don't do things that you know are wrong. You should always be the person to stand up, and do the correct thing, even though everyone is doing the wrong thing.
