What i think that this quote means is that it is always important to be known as a good person in life. I think it means that it is always good that when your name is said, that you are known as a nice, caring, kind person, and not a mean and rude person. That is the most important thing in life, to be known by being a good person that chose the right, and not the wrong. It is always good that in life you achieve people knowing you by being a good person. This is what i think that this quote means, that before you want to achieve anything, achieve a good name. Achieving a good name can help you in life because you will be known for a good reason, and it will bring you many opportunities in life. It is always important that you always be a good person to others, so that you have a good name. People can identify the type of person you are if they hear your name, that's why it is important to keep a good name. If you have a bad name, then people will identify you as a bad person.
